DESCRIPTION

The LEGACY CAT 1600 hull design initially came into service as an inboard powered offshore Dive support vessel, Off Port Limits Supply and Inshore Survey vessel. The design allows for the vessel to be transported by road and more importantly accepted as trailerable cargo for standard RORO ships. The elevated and spacious command station located on the upper deck, gives excellent all round vision for manoeuvring in confined spaces or holding positioning during ROV deployment and Scan surveys. It provides a large, sheltered and versatile aft deck area which can be utilized for a multitude of functions ranging from towed sampling nets to hydrographical and diving operations. Depending on client’s specifications, a combination of LARS systems can be fitted with either electronic or hydraulic lifting
capabilities.
Diesel inboard motors within the 400 Hp - 600 Hp range with either straight drives, jet propulsion or stern drives
will provide cruising speeds of 16 – 18 knots, and a range of 200 - 350 nm based on load, fit-out weight
